Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of client engagements and deliver projects within scope and statement of work.
- Assess client requirements and design, document, construct, schedule, and deliver technical solutions from presales through implementation.
- Provide expertise in CRIMS infrastructure, performance tuning, development, advanced configuration, troubleshooting, or integration.
- Manage multiple technical initiatives, including n-tier software installation and disaster-recovery/high-availability designs.
- Create prototypes and proofs of concept, contribute to sales presentations, and demonstrate CRIMS capabilities to clients.
- Identify and drive project resolutions, manage difficult situations, and influence internal and external decision makers.
- Direct, guide, and mentor consultants and allocate implementation resources as needed.
- Design and deliver technical training for clients.
- Work with clients and internal teams across multiple simultaneous priorities and strategically solve cross-project problems.
Requirements
- Front-office, buyside, or middle-office investment software trading experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- At least 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in the financial or software services industry, preferably with a financial market information systems background.
- Ability to program in Java or C#.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Sybase.
- Detailed knowledge of technologies including Tomcat, n-tier application architecture, SOAP/XML messaging, MQ Series, Tibco, MSMQ, Sonic MQ, Open JMS, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Kettle and Talend.
- Familiarity with Windows and Unix, including Solaris and Linux.
- Familiarity with source-control management tools such as Subversion or Perforce.
- Experience with Azure and Snowflake.
- Strong client-facing communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, operate beyond regular business hours when necessary, and travel to client sites in the United States and Canada.
