Responsibilities
- Productize ML workflows by collaborating with researchers to create robust Python services.
- Design and own service-layer components as the single source of truth for business logic.
- Enforce secure-by-design backend practices, including authorization and access scoping.
- Improve robustness, observability, and usability of model-driven services.
- Contribute to API and service design, ensuring usability and long-term stability.
Requirements
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience with production backend systems.
- Experience in productionizing ML or scientific computing systems.
- Exposure to scientific or data-intensive domains.
- Demonstrated experience building secure systems with proper data handling.
- Experience with relational databases and structured service architectures.
- Strong engineering practices in observability, documentation, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with GPU-backed environments and distributed-systems fundamentals is preferred.
- Strong written communication skills and experience in collaborative teams.
