Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and support software solutions for NOV Service Equipment products and related digital platforms.
- Design software for equipment control, data acquisition, diagnostics, industrial communications, and system integration.
- Integrate software with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, databases, and cloud-based services.
- Develop and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Support product validation and field deployment through remote diagnostics, software updates, log analysis, and field service collaboration.
- Develop reusable software frameworks, engineering tools, and common technology platforms.
- Maintain technical and software documentation and engineering change records.
- Own assigned technical work, resolve issues proactively, and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, control systems, PLC programming, industrial software development, or a related engineering field.
- Experience developing software with compiled programming languages.
- Experience integrating software with industrial equipment, hardware, networks, or distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote engineering environment and across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated technical ownership, initiative, continuous learning, persistence, and ability to drive problems through resolution.
- United States travel visa preferred.
