Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend APIs and services using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure with guidance from experienced colleagues.
- Work with Terraform and deployment automation pipelines.
- Apply OWASP security practices and authentication concepts in daily development.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve backend issues.
- Write tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and senior engineering colleagues.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Codex to support coding and reviews.
- Continue learning backend and cloud technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience building APIs with REST or GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with at least one relational or NoSQL database, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Familiarity with Docker and exposure to Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with a cloud platform, ideally AWS, or strong motivation to learn AWS.
- Basic understanding of OAuth and OpenID Connect authentication concepts.
- Awareness of OWASP security practices, testing, messaging systems, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Interest in messaging systems such as SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka and in DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, learning, and feedback skills.
- Fluent English communication and regular use of AI tools such as Claude or Codex in development work.
