
Senior Software Developer, Application Support (Remote First)

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Tier 3+ incidents requiring deep technical investigation.
- Investigate and modify production code across multiple engineering domains, then diagnose, test, and deploy fixes end to end.
- Develop broad working knowledge of Node, TypeScript, AWS, and Zensurance’s technical domains to resolve issues independently.
- Collaborate with Application Support and engineering teams to improve issue triage, resolution, and platform quality.
- Document resolutions, create runbooks, maintain the knowledge repository, and develop educational materials.
- Analyze incident data, identify recurring patterns, and implement code, workflow, tooling, and support-process improvements.
- Manage escalated tickets within Broker Support SLAs.
- Mentor and coach team members and assist Engineering Leadership with improving technical capabilities.
Requirements
- A university degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational, or academic program, preferably Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building rich, complex web or mobile applications.
- Experience architecting and augmenting large software systems.
- Extensive full-stack experience with Node, AWS, and the TypeScript ecosystem.
- React experience is preferred.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, and well-structured code.
- Effective communication, collaboration, continuous improvement, continuous learning, and knowledge-sharing skills.
