Base Salary
$320k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable pipelines for ingesting and processing security telemetry.
- Build and optimize ML-powered detection systems, including UEBA and anomaly detection.
- Architect storage and query solutions for large volumes of security-relevant data.
- Prototype new security tooling and analytics capabilities.
- Develop systems using Claude and other ML models to improve detection and response.
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to Security team hiring and growth.
- Participate in on-call shifts.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience focused on security, infrastructure, and/or data pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Track record building and maintaining internal developer tools or security platforms and large-scale logging or data-processing pipelines.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation and with query optimization for large datasets.
- Experience building stable, scalable services on cloud infrastructure and serverless architectures.
- Ability to write maintainable and secure Python code.
- Experience translating security-team requirements into technical solutions and leading technical projects with minimal guidance.
- Strong technical leadership, systems thinking, communication, risk-management, code-review, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes building security tooling, SIEM, log aggregation, EDR, detection engineering, security operations, SOAR automation, data lake or database architecture, API design, internal platforms, and applying ML or AI to security problems.
