Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze GNSS/INS data from agricultural operating environments and conduct field testing with tractors, UTVs, and other equipment.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated verification and validation tools and scripts using Python.
  • Investigate customer issues, software defects, and feature enhancement requests, contributing solutions in Python and/or C++.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain automated test suites within Jenkins.
  • Support requirements refinement, traceability, validation coverage, test planning, execution records, and compliance documentation.
  • Troubleshoot test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain technical documentation, test infrastructure, test tractors, and farm installations.
  • Contribute to improvements in engineering processes, test methodologies, and product quality.

Requirements

  • Be registered in an Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least the second or third year of studies by the start of the work term.
  • Be enrolled in Computer Science, Geomatics, Computer Software Engineering, or a related software-development field at a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Be available for a minimum 12-month work term at 37.5 hours per week.
  • Have strong academic credentials, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be collaborative, self-starting, detail-oriented, comfortable following complex instructions, and motivated by challenging work.
  • Agriculture technology or farming background is preferred.
  • Experience with Python and C++, interest in software development, precision agriculture, verification/validation, or data analysis, and familiarity with Git, Jira, Jenkins, or test case management tools are preferred.
  • Experience with GPS/GNSS/INS technology, products, and systems is preferred.
