Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain software verification and validation scripts written in Python.
- Deploy and monitor tests in a continuous integration system using Jenkins.
- Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data.
- Refine functional and performance requirements for validation traceability.
- Document test designs, specifications, test runs, results, and compliance with requirements.
- Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues through root cause analysis.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
Requirements
- Be registered in a Computer Science or Engineering internship/co-op program and have completed at least the second or third year of studies by the start of the work term.
- Be enrolled in Computer Science, Geomatics, Computer Software Engineering, or a related software-development field at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Be available for a minimum 12-month work term onsite at the Calgary office, 37.5 hours per week.
- Have strong academic credentials and a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Preferred qualifications include interest in software development verification or data analysis and experience with Python or C++.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Git, Jira, Jenkins, test case management tools, GPS/GNSS/INS, and ISTQB certification.
