Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the control plane for Google Cloud Networking features, including VPCs, network interfaces, network endpoints, and firewalls.
- Define and implement intuitive public APIs for Google Compute Engine networking products.
- Implement business logic in Java-based distributed systems and orchestrate downstream network infrastructure.
- Contribute to testing, rollouts, maintenance, and operational excellence for Networking Core Services CLH.
- Explore and apply AI solutions to improve development workflows, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- At least 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- At least 1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
- Preferred: interest in AI/ML techniques, public API design and development, scalable highly available distributed systems, and cloud networking concepts including VPCs, firewalls, routing, and IP address management.
