Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain efficient, reliable, clean, and maintainable backend services for internal and external users.
- Collaborate with engineering team members across Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Norway, and other locations.
- Design and work with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, databases, queue systems, and scalable architectures.
- Write tests, practice TDD and pair programming, review code, and contribute to software quality.
- Monitor and improve service performance using observability tools.
- Participate in Scrum workflows, technical interviews, system design discussions, and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of backend development experience with PHP or Go.
- Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, and queue systems.
- Understanding of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and New Relic or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with TDD, pair programming, and GitLab CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or AWS is preferred.
- Experience designing and working on highly scalable systems is preferred.
- JavaScript and React experience is a plus but not required.
