Responsibilities
- Lead presales architecture and solutioning for mid- to large-scale client pursuits.
- Harvest client requirements and translate them into SAP technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the technology aspects of pursuit teams and provide architecture and presales thought leadership.
- Develop solution definitions, technical delivery approaches, cost assessments, RFP responses, client presentations, and proposal content.
- Define current-state, transition, and target architectures, including roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture and IT strategies.
- Identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve technology risks and gaps during the pursuit lifecycle.
- Collaborate with SAP product teams, business owners, delivery teams, and Global Delivery Services to influence product priorities and solutions.
- Establish presales standards, guidelines, procedures, templates, architecture tooling practices, and reference-model usage.
- Ensure implemented solutions follow approved designs throughout the application lifecycle.
- Coach business owners and pursuit leads, contribute to the presales community, and assist with onboarding new presales architects.
- Travel internationally and domestically as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology, business development, and thought leadership.
- Deep knowledge of SAP technology, EY SAP products, tools, processes, and industry solutions.
- Experience with deal development, architecture and strategy, technology startups, or large-scale multi-technology, data, and analytics deals.
- Broad technical expertise across applications, infrastructure, digital, security, data, analytics, and integration architecture.
- Experience responding to RFPs, shaping client proposals, writing solutions, and delivering client presentations.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills and ability to work with global customers, partners, and teams.
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop strategic customer relationships and gain stakeholder trust.
- Ability to identify technical risks and develop mitigation and avoidance strategies.
- Leadership, negotiation, influencing, networking, organization, planning, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in offshore/onsite models and across different geographies and cultures.
- Agile Delivery and DevOps certifications or experience are desirable.
- TOGAF or IASA architectural training or certifications is desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL V3/V4 service strategy and service design is an advantage.
- Ability to influence without authority as an individual contributor.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $120,700 to $225,800 in most US geographic locations, with higher ranges for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento.
