Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Own software lifecycle activities and collaborate with peers to solve infrastructure problems.
- Manage technical project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Lead incident response, incident management, post-incident reviews, and outage resolution.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement infrastructure security and compliance practices.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and conduct resource optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Drive continuous improvement across the team and organization.
- Maintain system documentation and foster knowledge sharing.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and support global teams during critical outages.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
- Experience with cloud-focused software development, preferably using Go, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with technologies including ECS, Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio, Linkerd, or Solo.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles.
- Ability to drive results, deliver high-quality solutions, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work cross-functionally.
- Preferred certifications include Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or CISSP.
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
