Base Salary

$175k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design large-complexity mobile solutions that are performant, scalable, maintainable, and secure.
  • Identify and mitigate technical health risks within systems.
  • Guide squad discussions and reviews to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on best practices.
  • Establish metrics like KPIs and SLOs for health and reliability concerns.
  • Design and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Balance new feature development with addressing operational risks.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams for seamless integration.
  • Contribute to the team's vision and identify strategic technologies.
  • Lead efforts to improve workflows and processes within the squad.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced squad members.
  • Identify inefficiencies in squad practices and propose solutions.
  • Serve on the technical advisory group for critical decisions.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and propose enhancements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with production consumer-facing code.
  • Fluency in native mobile development technologies, including Swift and Kotlin.
  • Experience with GraphQL and modern API patterns in mobile.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
  • Proven experience in building performant user experiences in mobile.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects without management oversight.
