Responsibilities
- Design and implement new media playback features that integrate with Disney media services and back-end systems.
- Collaborate with peer API services teams and front-end teams on library API design.
- Conduct research and development for media playback experiences, integration, and testing.
- Participate in project estimation and resource planning.
- Work collaboratively in a small development team and across the larger engineering organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple platforms.
- Develop Apple applications using UIKit, SwiftUI, AVKit, and StoreKit.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience in iOS software development, including 3 years using Swift.
- At least 5 years of experience implementing complex user interfaces with UIKit or SwiftUI.
- At least 3 years of experience with agile processes.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including early-stage development, maintenance, and end of life.
- Understanding of design patterns such as MVC and MVVM and programming paradigms including object-oriented and reactive programming.
- Understanding of the iOS and tvOS application development lifecycle and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with unit test frameworks and continuous integration systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Preferred experience with HLS, MPEG-DASH, Transport Stream, CMAF, AVFoundation, and applications for iPhone, iPad, and tvOS.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

- Base salary ranges vary by location: $155,400–$208,400 in San Francisco, $148,700–$199,400 in Seattle/New York, and $141,900–$190,300 in Glendale.
- Potential bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included in the compensation package.
- Primary location is Seattle, WA, with alternate locations in California and New York.
