Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop reusable automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define automation strategies and best practices for test architecture, code quality, and framework design.
- Perform API, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, performance, reliability, and security testing as needed.
- Review requirements and technical designs to identify quality risks and improve testability.
- Investigate test failures, analyze defects, identify root causes, and collaborate on resolutions.
- Improve test execution speed, stability, reliability, and automation coverage.
- Use AI-powered tools and coding assistants for test generation, debugging, defect analysis, and automation development.
- Mentor Quality Engineers on automation frameworks, coding standards, and testing techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Python.
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Experience automating REST APIs with Postman, Rest Assured, Playwright API, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across distributed systems.
- Experience testing cloud-native applications, distributed systems, or microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and modern software development practices.
- Experience using AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, or Windsurf.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
