Responsibilities
- Design and develop IIoT hardware platforms and integrate hardware and software layers.
- Build control plane and data plane software for industrial switching and routing products.
- Develop BSPs, device drivers, kernel modules, and other low-level software components.
- Analyze requirements and create software designs, detailed design documents, and functional specifications.
- Code, unit test, white-box test, and automate testing for software components and modules.
- Triage, debug, and identify root causes for simulation, software bring-up, and customer failures.
- Develop and validate embedded networking software using peripheral interfaces and networking protocols.
- Innovate on solutions that may lead to patents and new intellectual property.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, EE/ECE, or a related field with 5–8 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3–6 years of experience.
- Proficiency writing production-quality C/C++ code.
- Strong hardware and device driver development experience, including Linux hardware bring-up.
- Experience with multithreading, event handling, state machine implementation, operating systems, Linux kernel development, device drivers, and BSPs.
- Experience developing, debugging, and validating embedded systems using I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, and GPIO.
- Experience developing software or firmware for networking equipment.
- Experience with generative AI assistant technologies, natural language processing, or generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Gemini, MCP, or agentic AI.
- Experience with traffic generators or analyzers such as IXIA or Sniffer is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes kernel programming, open-source technologies, GDB, KGDB, peripheral interfaces including PCI, PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and Ethernet.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications and experience with AI/ML or agentic AI frameworks are desirable.
