Responsibilities
- Design and develop core macOS networking and security components.
- Build features using Network Extensions and System Extensions.
- Investigate and resolve complex production and customer issues.
- Optimize networking performance and system-resource usage.
- Develop scalable and secure macOS agents.
- Research and proof-of-concept new technologies.
- Collaborate with other agent teams and backend developers.
- Own features end to end, including technical design and production responsibility.
- Review designs and train junior employees.
- Initiate innovations that support business needs.
Requirements
- A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of C++ development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with networking protocols, including IP, TCP/UDP, routing tables, IPv4/IPv6, DNS configuration, and VPN packet encapsulation and routing.
- 5+ years of macOS and Swift development experience.
- Experience architecting and designing distributed services.
- 2+ years of experience with macOS network extensions and proxies.
- 3+ years of experience with multithreading and asynchronous tasks.
- 3+ years of sockets programming experience.
- Deep understanding of design patterns.
- Experience owning features end to end, producing technical designs, debugging customer issues, and taking production responsibility.
