Responsibilities
- Own the Android therapy experience, including speech exercises, cognitive tasks, multimedia flows, and patient-facing UI.
- Integrate ML team models into production speech feedback experiences, including latency, confidence, and fallback behavior.
- Optimize startup time, memory usage, rendering performance, and offline resilience across older tablets and modern phones.
- Partner with Product and Design to create accessible experiences for users with partial mobility and cognitive constraints.
- Shape Android architecture, code review culture, testing strategy, and engineering standards as a senior team member.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, backend, ML engineers, founders, and clinicians.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Android development using Kotlin.
- Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Hilt/Dagger, and MVVM/MVI architecture.
- Track record building and scaling production applications.
- Quality-focused approach to responsive interfaces, smooth animations, and maintainable engineering.
- Experience with AI-native development tools and workflows, including AI-generated tests.
- HTL, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Computer Science, or comparable hands-on experience.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and backend teams.
