Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers on challenging networking projects.
  • Design and implement data-plane networking software on custom hardware across design, deployment, and operations.
  • Build and improve network virtualization systems supporting VPC connectivity, security policy enforcement, and performance isolation.
  • Investigate complex production issues across distributed embedded systems and drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with hardware, control-plane, and ML-platform teams on end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 7 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • At least 7 years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Preferred: 8 or more years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
