Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test cases and execute manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Prepare test plans and strategy documents and follow formal software test design techniques and QA standards.
- Develop and implement quality control systems, conduct inspections and analysis, and identify quality improvements.
- Use scripting languages, automation frameworks, and tools to drive testing automation initiatives.
- Create defect reports, track issues to resolution, forecast high-risk software areas, and provide test-result updates to management.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to understand requirements, communicate impacts, and support project test phases.
- Apply people management and conflict-resolution skills to increase productivity, hire talent, and grow team capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing, functional testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and smoke testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages, logical implementations, test automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Understanding of formal software test design techniques and QA processes and standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Security and performance testing exposure is preferred.
- Ability to identify requirements gaps, testing impediments, risks, and issues and drive their resolution.
