Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and administer automated test frameworks with results reporting.
- Build automated tests alongside development of new user interfaces and convert manual test cases into automated tests.
- Collaborate with developers and TechOps to plan test coverage and integrate automation into the CI/CD process.
- Create test plans, testing metrics, technical documentation, and framework instructions.
- Investigate automation problems, debug issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
- Identify, document, track, and triage defects while working with developers and system administrators on fixes.
- Investigate customer problems, support manual QA efforts, and participate in functional and technical reviews.
- Prioritize automation scenarios by business risk and maximize coverage of critical features and systems.
- Contribute to process improvements, application enhancements, proofs of concept, and quality standards throughout the release cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar engineering major.
- At least 2 years of quality engineering automation testing experience in a cloud-based environment, excluding internships.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing of user interfaces and web services.
- Experience with QA automation frameworks, scripting, and coding.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Ability to work across front-end and back-end technology stacks.
- Experience engineering in Linux and/or macOS environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in Brazil or a Latin American country.
