Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code for cloud platform services and tooling.
  • Own technical design decisions spanning product design, platform architecture, reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Build and operationalize cloud provisioning platforms across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including release lifecycle support and platform recovery.
  • Mentor engineers, share critical platform knowledge, and promote collaborative engineering practices.
  • Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, software development lifecycle practices, and effective automation patterns.
  • Guide the responsible use and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and incident analysis.
  • Influence technical decisions and foster a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team culture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining production software systems consumed by other engineering teams.
  • Experience owning technical design decisions and mentoring other engineers.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and microservices design patterns.
  • Proficiency across software design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to validate and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Preferred: experience with high-volume production platforms, release engineering, continuous delivery, automated testing, platform operations and recovery, enterprise cloud identity/networking/policy controls, multi-cloud abstractions, regulated industries, and pairing or software teaming.
