Responsibilities
- Write extensible and maintainable code using coding patterns and best practices.
- Debug, test, and identify issues using logs, telemetry, and automated code analysis under guidance.
- Support development and testing of designs while considering dependencies, performance, scalability, and security fundamentals.
- Participate in code reviews and begin reviewing peer work.
- Use AI tools responsibly throughout the software development lifecycle and review AI-generated changes.
- Support security testing, monitoring, compliance, and other security best practices.
- Collaborate with partner teams on feature integration, end-to-end testing, and deployment.
- Participate in on-call support and resolve service degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
Requirements
- Associate degree or apprenticeship in computer science or a related technical discipline plus at least 6 months of coding work or internship experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline with proven coding experience, or equivalent experience.
