Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable software solutions across major portions of the team’s systems, including new features, refactoring, and operational improvements.
  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines supporting end-to-end capacity tracking and real-time risk detection.
  • Develop automated alerting, self-healing mechanisms, and diagnostic tooling to identify and resolve capacity discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Science, Product, stakeholders, and capacity resource owners to define requirements, architecture, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, deployment, production operations, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, author corrections of errors, and drive permanent reliability improvements.
  • Conduct performance and load testing and prepare capacity services for peak throughput events.
  • Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and system design, with experience or interest in algorithms, optimization, and generative AI.
