Responsibilities
- Identify areas where ML can create value for customers.
- Determine the right ML framing of product problems.
- Collaborate with teammates and Product and Design stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and research.
- Deeply understand the problem area.
- Research and identify appropriate algorithms and tools.
- Innovate while being pragmatic in approach.
- Perform offline evaluations to validate algorithms.
- Work with engineers to transition prototypes to production.
- Plan, measure, and share learnings for iteration.
- Partner with the team to build excellent ML products.
Requirements
- Broad applied machine learning knowledge.
- 3-5 years of applied ML experience.
- Practical statistics knowledge, including experiment design.
- Intermediate programming skills.
- Strong communication skills across disciplines.
- Comfort with ambiguity.
- Typically possess advanced education in ML or a related field.
- Scientific thinking skills.
