Base Salary
$191k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally to understand developer needs and prototype solutions.
- Design and build backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure to improve developer workflows.
- Build scalable and reliable systems for AI-powered and core non-AI developer workflows.
- Lead high-impact projects by writing and reviewing code and aligning stakeholders.
- Create tools and integrations connecting developer workflows with existing systems.
- Design and implement maintainable APIs and services for internal developer tooling.
- Improve team tools, processes, and best practices for reliability and usability.
- Mentor engineers and shape a roadmap reflecting developer needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go and experience with it in production systems.
- Experience designing and implementing maintainable APIs using technologies like GraphQL or REST.
- Experience building platforms or developer tools used by other engineers.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, Kubernetes, and cloud providers.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered developer tools and workflows.
- Proven track record of leading large, high-impact projects requiring cross-team collaboration.
- User-focused mindset with empathy for internal engineering users.
- Excellent communication skills for influencing technical direction.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar.
