Base Salary
$120k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-facing UIs, CLIs, and APIs for the PlanetScale platform.
- Work on the central control plane for managing Vitess and Postgres databases.
- Build, document, and publish RESTful APIs for end users and the dashboard.
- Create internal admin tools to assist engineering and support teams.
- Collaborate with the design team to improve database developer experience.
- Work independently to solve engineering and business problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building web applications.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails for backend development.
- Experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Understanding of web fundamentals such as HTTP and authentication.
- Experience with modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
