Responsibilities
- Develop clean, efficient C++ and Python code for on-premises and cloud-hosted environments.
- Build and evolve real-time news collection and distribution platform capabilities.
- Work with XML, JSON, HTML, XSLT, and news industry standards.
- Collaborate in a Scrum team to design and deliver new features.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain code quality.
- Automate deployment, upgrades, and maintenance using DevOps tools and practices.
- Support production systems and occasionally provide on-call support for critical systems.
Requirements
- Solid experience with C/C++ on Linux and real-time systems.
- Practical experience with IP-based protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTPS.
- Familiarity with unit testing, especially Google Test.
- Understanding of network protocols and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
- Bonus experience with Python, Google Test, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, NewsMLG2, or similar standards.
