Responsibilities
- Drive QA strategy for Mirantis Secure Registry, Kubernetes, cloud-native environments, and distributed systems.
- Lead risk analysis, test planning, and release-readiness activities for large-scale multi-cloud registry and infrastructure environments.
- Architect test frameworks and infrastructure for microservices, multi-cluster, hybrid-cloud, and production-like workloads.
- Develop scalable test automation integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes APIs, Helm, and service mesh tools.
- Build repeatable infrastructure-as-code test infrastructure and validate system health, failover, recovery, and network resilience.
- Mentor QA engineers and developers in risk-based testing, chaos engineering, performance testing, and load testing.
- Establish quality gates, release metrics, and feedback loops while integrating performance, security, and chaos testing into development.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers on monitoring, alerting, debugging, production readiness, and incident retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, including 4+ years with Kubernetes, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
- Proven leadership experience building and scaling enterprise-grade test strategies and mentoring at least one junior team member.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, cluster lifecycle management, Helm, service meshes, and network policies.
- Strong Python, Pytest, Bash, and test-automation skills.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Kubernetes security, RBAC, secrets management, and K6.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, infrastructure provisioning, containerized CI/CD, Linux administration, networking, PKI, Docker or containerd, kubectl, OCI registries, and Flux.
- Exceptional problem-solving, architectural thinking, cross-functional influence, communication, mentorship, and coaching abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source contributions, Kubernetes chaos-engineering experience, and CKA, CKAD, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
