Base Salary
$250k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-native systems, including RAG pipelines and LLM-powered features.
- Make principled decisions regarding prompting, fine-tuning, and technical approaches.
- Define evaluation frameworks and implement guardrails for model outputs.
- Own model deployment, monitoring, and optimization for reliability at scale.
- Contribute across the stack to deliver complete AI products to users.
- Partner with product and design teams to frame problems before implementation.
- Stay current on AI research and tooling to elevate the team's technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered systems.
- Ability to set technical direction for AI systems and establish architectural patterns.
- Experience owning outcomes across team boundaries and driving alignment.
- Strong command of model evaluation and ability to mitigate hallucinations.
- Solid understanding of modern model architectures like transformers.
- Experience in productionizing AI, including deployment and monitoring.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals for shipping user-facing AI products.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical decisions.
- Demonstrated product judgment in evaluating build decisions.
