Base Salary
$141k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, modify, and validate critical embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs, software requirements, and time and cost constraints to design sophisticated software.
- Design and implement software subsystems for complex, large-scale products and systems.
- Lead design, coding, and testing efforts to meet project specifications and schedules.
- Perform complex code reviews and regression testing, and triage and fix software issues.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, test, and other teams to develop system-level software solutions.
- Write detailed technical documentation and review documentation produced by junior engineers.
- Provide supervision and guidance to other team members and influence key organizational decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree and 3+ years; or a PhD and 2+ years.
- 2+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years of software engineering or related work experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of database management software experience and 3+ years of API experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience with Git, Perforce, or a source code management system.
