Base Salary
$141k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and validate critical embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs, software requirements, and constraints to design sophisticated software solutions.
- Design and implement software subsystems for complex, large-scale products and systems.
- Lead software design, coding, testing, code reviews, regression testing, issue triage, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, architecture, and test engineers on system-level solutions and interfaces.
- Write complex technical documentation and review documentation produced by junior engineers.
- Provide guidance to team members and make decisions with significant impact on program, product, and project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master’s degree and 3+ years; or a PhD and 2+ years.
- 2+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years of software engineering experience, 3+ years with database management software, 3+ years with APIs, 2+ years in a technical leadership role, and 1+ year with Git, Perforce, or a source code management system.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, provide guidance to others, communicate complex information, and perform extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.
