Responsibilities
- Introduce AI-assisted engineering practices, including coding assistants, agents, and spec-driven development, to client teams.
- Design guardrails for coding agents, including scoped permissions, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, review practices, and CI gates.
- Define quality standards, testing, static-analysis, and review processes for agent-generated code.
- Optimize agent execution through appropriate context and model selection, loop prevention, and cost tracking.
- Assess clients’ AI readiness and map legacy systems to realistic replacement paths.
- Facilitate Big Picture Event Storming and technical workshops for CTOs, architects, and development teams.
- Help evolve SQUER’s AI-in-the-SDLC offering and identify follow-up engagement opportunities.
Requirements
- Several years of development experience, including a lead or senior role with ownership of a system or team.
- Professional or private experience using AI-assisted coding on a complex project, with the tool, scope, and outcome clearly describable.
- Hands-on ownership of AI workflows, agents, MCP servers, or custom GPTs beyond basic ChatGPT use.
- Solid understanding of LLMs, agents, and RAG, including when to use each.
- Hands-on experience establishing guardrails for coding agents and understanding common failure modes of agentic coding.
- Confidence with CI/CD, testing, and iterative delivery.
- Ability to confidently facilitate workshops for unfamiliar groups.
- Fluency in both German and English.
