Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and adapt AI/ML algorithms across platform sensor suites.
- Create software to autonomously control EO, IR, acoustics, radar, and RF sensors.
- Collaborate across sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams for swarm deployments and DoD testing.
- Deploy containerized solutions to embedded Linux devices and perform testing, profiling, and performance analysis.
- Interact with DoD customers to understand use cases, requirements, and field-event triage needs.
- Develop simulation tooling for sensor, platform, and autonomy playback and post-processing analysis.
- Document work, triage technical issues, and implement integration improvements based on simulation and customer feedback.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Optimization, or equivalent, or 5+ years of relevant sensor-algorithm, hardware, and HIL software-integration experience.
- Experience with multiple sensor modalities and an understanding of sensor physics and control parameters.
- Experience training and deploying ML algorithms using Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow onto integrated systems with ONNX and C++ models.
- Experience with state-of-the-art estimation, tracking, and sensor-fusion algorithms.
- Comfort working in Linux and Docker and handling large datasets.
- Ability to develop software remotely, learn new software and algorithms, and work with limited supervision.
- Modern C++ development, CMake, Python, and Bash proficiency are preferred.
- Experience with robotic swarms, multi-agent systems, optimization, or strong tracking and sensor-fusion backgrounds is preferred.
- PhD focused on AI/ML and a current U.S. SECRET security clearance are preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Must be willing to travel for software/hardware integration and demonstrations.

- Full-time employees primarily work in the office five days per week, with occasional remote-work flexibility; contractor positions are exempt from this expectation.
- Expected travel is approximately every one to two months for two to five days, or about 10–20%.
- Relocation assistance to the headquarters in Poway, California may be available.
