Responsibilities
- Build and evolve Layer’s accounting software and bookkeeping platform.
- Develop API and embedded frontend components across the full stack.
- Own product and team decisions while navigating priorities and tradeoffs.
- Contribute to the growth of teammates and the broader engineering organization.
- Work across the company’s technology stack, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience on strong software teams.
- Experience with the highs and lows of building new products from scratch.
- A track record of growth in team leadership.
- Broad technical competence and curiosity about technical, business, product, and customer problems.
- Willingness to learn accounting and contribute to team and product decisions.
