Software Engineer II -Python, Observability, OTel, Dynatrace
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure software components and applications.
- Write high-quality code using Python or another modern programming language with limited guidance.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, validating their outputs through review and testing.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Apply software development life cycle tools, processes, methodologies, and technical troubleshooting practices.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience in the listed regions.
- Hands-on practical experience with Python, observability, OTel, and Dynatrace.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle and exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred experience includes full-stack Python development, enterprise application development, microservices, AWS deployment, Terraform, and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
