Responsibilities
- Build a Claude-powered pipeline that converts Jira tickets or product specifications into first-draft Playwright tests.
- Build an autonomous test maintenance agent that detects flaky or failing tests, diagnoses causes, and proposes or applies fixes with human-in-the-loop review.
- Own the prompt library, evaluation harness, and systematic scoring of generated test quality.
- Define acceptance workflows for AI-generated tests, including engineer review and automatic acceptance criteria.
- Instrument the agent layer by tracking generation cost, acceptance rate, time-to-fix, and flakiness reduction.
- Partner with automation engineers to improve generation quality for complex business logic.
- Evaluate new LLM tooling and approaches to improve speed and quality.
Requirements
- Production experience with the Anthropic Claude API or OpenAI API, specifically tool use, multi-step agent patterns, and structured output.
- 8+ years of experience with TypeScript or Python.
- Ability to rigorously evaluate LLM output quality by building evaluation systems.
- Experience designing agentic systems with retries, fallbacks, and human escalation paths.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and incomplete requirements.
- Playwright or comparable end-to-end test framework experience is preferred.
- Experience with test infrastructure such as fixture factories, seed scripts, and environment isolation is preferred.
- Experience building agents with persistent memory, multi-tool orchestration, or complex retry logic is preferred.
