Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate a desktop application for interacting with in-house satellite receivers.
- Write application code for satellite subsystem components.
- Architect software and develop embedded systems using hardware communication protocols.
- Build Qt-based graphical user interfaces with PyQt or PySide.
- Conduct hands-on testing and prototyping using development kits, logic analyzers, and bitstream decoding.
- Work with real-time operating systems and control or motor-control systems.
- Contribute independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Provide team leadership or management experience as required.
Requirements
- Experience programming in C and Python.
- Experience with hardware communication protocols and interfaces including RS-485, UART, I2C, CAN, SPI, and Ethernet TCP/IP.
- Strong experience with PyQt, PySide, or Qt-based GUI development.
- Hands-on experience with testing and prototyping, development kits, logic analyzers, and bitstream decoding.
- Experience with software architecture, embedded development, and Bash scripting.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Background in control systems and/or motor control.
- Experience as a team lead or manager.
- U.S. roles require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, or another protected-individual status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
- U.K. roles require BPSS checks and eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
- Canada roles require reliability-status security clearance and successful assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and ITAR.
