Responsibilities
- Design and engineer large-scale systems capable of efficiently handling high volumes of transactions.
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Mollie’s engineering teams.
- Lead technical initiatives from architecture design through implementation while maintaining engineering excellence.
- Resolve complex technical issues and contribute ideas to Mollie’s financial products.
- Consistently deliver customer value while balancing speed and quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale applications.
- Preferably experience with PHP or Java, with willingness to work with either; experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued.
- Experience designing systems involving queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance, and scalability.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
