Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and operate secure and reliable Microsoft Graph Connector and Federated Copilot Connector features.
- Build shared platform capabilities and engineering patterns for connector onboarding, authentication, data ingestion or federation, observability, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools and AI-native practices across planning, implementation, testing, debugging, deployment, and operations with appropriate review.
- Use telemetry, evaluation results, and customer or partner feedback to improve Copilot grounding, retrieval quality, and connector reliability.
- Collaborate with service, platform, developer tooling, and partner integration teams to deliver end-to-end outcomes.
- Participate in co-development by aligning on interfaces, implementing components, resolving integration issues, and documenting reusable learnings.
- Apply practices for security, privacy, compliance, reliability, maintainability, automated testing, responsible AI, and live-site support.
- Participate in design and code reviews, share knowledge, and contribute to an inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least two years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: at least three years of software engineering experience developing, testing, and supporting production software or cloud services.
- Preferred: working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud service fundamentals.
- Preferred: experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and applying AI-native development practices responsibly with validation.
- Preferred: ability to contribute across service and integration layers and collaborate with partner teams in a co-development model.
- Preferred: experience with Microsoft Graph, enterprise search or retrieval, connectors, identity and authorization, data ingestion, or cloud services.
- Preferred: good problem-solving, communication, collaboration, learning, and innovation skills.
