Base Salary
$170k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions for business, platform, and technology capabilities.
- Build data-driven and AI-enabled solutions to enhance strategic insights and optimize Liquid Financing platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, quants, strats, and other stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Use code reviews, unit testing, secure coding practices, and knowledge sharing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Guide technical direction, lead collaborative multi-year assignments, and coach less experienced specialists as a VP-level individual contributor or people leader.
- Advise senior stakeholders, manage technology risks and controls, and support business and digital transformation objectives.
Requirements
- Considerable engineering experience with Python and/or Java, with proficiency in both preferred and deep expertise in at least one.
- Extensive experience with AWS, including ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions, and IAM.
- Understanding of Kubernetes for deploying and operating containerized services in production.
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including integration of LLM APIs, embeddings, and retrieval patterns into software applications.
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly to engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in Liquid Financing, Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income Financing, Stock Borrow & Loan, or Custody.
- Preferred experience working with Quants and Strats, financial instruments, trade lifecycles, risk systems, event-driven architectures, Kafka or MSK, real-time data processing, DevSecOps, and financial services regulatory or compliance technology.
