Responsibilities
- Own and build collections of cloud infrastructure services and technology areas.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mission-critical services with emphasis on security, resiliency, scale, performance, and operability.
- Understand service architecture, call flows, configurations, dependencies, capacity, and production behavior.
- Define service architecture improvements and add advanced capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio.
- Automate and orchestrate infrastructure and troubleshoot complex distributed-system issues.
- Act as the escalation point for critical issues and define appropriate mitigations.
- Plan and execute changes, upgrades, and enhancements carefully.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related engineering field.
- At least 4 years of experience developing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and developing mission-critical Java backend microservices.
- Experience with Linux, Python, Terraform, Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, observability, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
