Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, owning technical direction, delivery timelines, dependencies, risks, and quality outcomes.
- Coordinate engineers and contractors across distributed US, LATAM, and India teams and serve as the primary technical contact for assigned workstreams.
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using React, Angular, and Node.js.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce standards for human- and AI-generated code, and mentor engineers on AI-assisted development.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities including LLM features, computer vision, vector search, RAG pipelines, intelligent automation, and agentic workflows.
- Support backend infrastructure, third-party vendor integrations, internal platform services, and maintainable AI-extensible codebases.
- Use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot for development, code review, refactoring, prototyping, and test generation.
- Establish QA automation and ensure AI-generated code meets quality, security, governance, review, and documentation standards.
- Participate in production operations, on-call rotation, incident response, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and observability activities.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, engineers, and leadership on feature feasibility, architecture, roadmaps, and technical tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years building production applications with React and/or Angular.
- 3+ years developing backend services with Node.js.
- 2+ years leading projects or technical workstreams, coordinating engineers, managing delivery, and owning outcomes.
- Hands-on production experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into production systems, including LLM APIs, computer vision, vector search, or intelligent automation.
- Experience designing APIs, data models, and system interfaces with explicit contracts that support AI-assisted implementation.
- Experience with Azure and AWS services is preferred.
- Experience with mobile development using React Native, iOS, or Android is preferred.
- Financial services or retail experience and experience with distributed or offshore teams are preferred.
- Strong architectural thinking, communication, collaboration, stakeholder communication, and mentoring skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
