Responsibilities
- Design and implement JEE software applications.
- Use software engineering tools and technologies including Eclipse, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, Jira, and Confluence.
- Work with users to understand requirements, demonstrate solutions, elicit feedback, and refine implementations.
- Present solutions at formal and informal design reviews.
- Document designs according to the government’s system lifecycle methodology.
- Develop microservices and automated unit tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Experience with Java/JEE, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSON, AWS, jQuery, Angular, React, and SQL.
- Experience with JEE web-tier technologies including Servlets, Struts, and Spring MVC.
- Experience with EJBs, SOAP and RESTful web services, Unix/Linux, JMS, JDBC, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Experience with JEE servers such as Spring Boot, Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere.
- Experience developing microservices.
- Preferred qualifications include fully automated unit testing, Agile development experience, strong written and oral communication, problem-solving ability, multitasking, and comfort working in changing data environments.
