Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual and automated functional, integration, system, regression, API, database, and end-to-end testing across distributed applications.
- Validate scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, application behavior, and performance in Kubernetes and edge-computing environments.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, reusable test assets, and automated tests integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage defect identification, logging, prioritization, tracking, closure, triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Use logs, monitoring tools, and data analysis to investigate defects and support effective resolution.
- Validate APIs, databases, integrations, contract compliance, and data integrity across services.
- Implement Behavior Driven Development practices and participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, DevOps teams, vendors, customers, project and program managers, and QE leadership.
- Mentor junior Quality Engineers on automation best practices and enhance test coverage and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 3–5 years of QA experience in enterprise environments, with 5+ years of software quality assurance preferred in the job summary.
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with REST or SOAP API testing and SQL or NoSQL database validation.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, PractiTest, or HP QC.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming, including Java, Python, or similar languages, for test automation.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, defect-triaging, and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Retail application experience, including POS systems and transaction flows, is preferred but highly valued.
