
Lead -Windchill Developer
Schneider ElectricResponsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and translate requirements into technical stories, tasks, and estimates.
- Develop features across multiple application subsystems through requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Customize and configure Windchill PDMLink, including workflows, listeners, data utilities, validators, lifecycles, OIRs, events, and form processors.
- Investigate technology improvements, upgrades, and modifications and make recommendations to management.
- Coordinate delivery status with stakeholders through summary reports, dashboards, service registers, and logs.
- Deliver work according to established processes and quality standards.
- Mentor and guide junior and fresher team members.
- Analyze and resolve active production incidents as needed.
- Develop RESTful web services and write webjects.
- Integrate Windchill with downstream ERP systems, including SAP.
- Perform peer code reviews and corrections and manage and document server configurations.
- Oversee development and testing of stories and features at scrum-team level.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Windchill PDMLink customization, configuration, and development.
- Experience with Windchill 11.0 or later, upgrades, updates, patch installations, and Windows- and Linux-based environments.
- Experience with PartsLink concepts, including classification management, attributes, IBAs, and enumerations.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful API development, web services, webjects, and SAP PO/PI or SAP APD integrations.
- Core Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming experience across server-side and client-side web applications.
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse, NetBeans, or an equivalent IDE.
- Functional knowledge of PDMLink capabilities including BOM management, change management, part management, part lifecycles, ESI configurations, PDF publishing, CAD management, worker agents, visualization services, and SAP ERP integration.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and SQL Developer, including queries, joins, procedures, functions, indexes, and sequences.
- Experience with change-management or ALM tools, source-code management systems, version management, and DevOps practices.
- Experience preparing technical write-ups, architecture diagrams, deployment diagrams, solution integrations, and estimates.
- Experience with data migration or ETL processes using WBM is preferred.
- Exposure to Windchill SUMA, Service Information Manager, Translation Management, Supplier Collaboration, or ThingWorx Navigate is preferred.
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree required.
