Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions for client projects.
- Design, plan, and implement cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and system components.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, automation practices, and release processes.
- Contribute to containerized, virtualized, and cloud-native environments.
- Improve architecture, testing, deployment, observability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Define and communicate non-functional requirements covering performance, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Coach colleagues and raise the quality of software development, DevOps, infrastructure, and delivery practices.
- Research, test, and implement new techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Advise clients on technical direction, architecture, infrastructure, trade-offs, and solution design.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including recent hands-on DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, college degree, certification in a software-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate or conversational French at a minimum.
- Strong backend development experience and familiarity with API design and distributed systems.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
- Experience with a major cloud platform, server-side programming language, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong technical judgment, pragmatic architectural decision-making, and the ability to work in ambiguous environments.
- Experience collaborating directly with clients or stakeholders and mentoring teammates.
- Preferred experience includes frontend or full-stack development, edge computing, IoT, robotics, industrial systems, developer tooling, caching and queue systems, event-driven architecture, messaging, application security, compliance, or regulated environments.
