Base Salary

$164k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship scalable backend services supporting Reddit’s IAM systems.
  • Develop systems for user identity, authentication, and authorization.
  • Select, scope, and execute high-impact projects aligned with Reddit’s goals.
  • Improve the performance, scalability, quality, and architecture of IAM systems.
  • Collaborate with product management, security, client engineering, backend teams, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Contribute to Reddit’s IAM strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience designing and developing distributed backend systems.
  • Backend experience in IAM, specifically authentication or authorization.
  • Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, preferably Go.
  • Capability with Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong empathy and excellent communication skills for cross-organizational collaboration.
