Responsibilities
- Develop embedded C firmware for complex DSP hardware.
- Develop C and Python code for utilities, GUIs, regression testing, and simulation infrastructure.
- Take software ideas from concept through design, review, implementation, testing, and customer release.
- Work on mission-critical features for major cloud customers.
- Debug difficult hardware/software issues, identify root causes, and track resolution through Jira tickets.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of related coursework.
- Strong programming skills in C and Python.
- Understanding of software development workflows, computer and processor architecture, processor interaction with memory and peripherals, and fundamental networking with emphasis on the PHY through data-link layers.
- Preferred: knowledge of Git, Linux, Makefiles, GDB, IDEs, Bash, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, regression testing, and MCU embedded processor environments.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor and the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and explanatory skills.
