Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-scale production cloud infrastructure for availability, performance, and resilience.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code practices for consistent and efficient deployments.
- Use Linux and networking expertise to improve system performance, security, and reliability.
- Administer Kubernetes clusters and operate AWS infrastructure and managed services.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and service issues affecting millions of users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
- Develop and operate services and tools that improve production resilience and developer velocity.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working on live production systems.
- Proficiency in Linux and strong knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals and internals, including hands-on cluster administration.
- Strong understanding of AWS fundamentals, including IAM, networking, and managed services.
- Experience with provisioning and configuration management systems such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or Chef.
- Strong scripting experience with Python and Bash.
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana monitoring tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
