Responsibilities
- Support multi-year, multi-cloud transformation roadmaps and foundational initiatives involving landing zones, networking, identity, and observability.
- Design and evolve multi-account and multi-subscription landing zones across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including segmentation, policies, guardrails, logging, monitoring, and shared services.
- Build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, pipelines, blueprints, and reference implementations, and participate in code reviews and prototyping.
- Guide application migration and modernization decisions across rehost, replatform, refactor, and cloud-native adoption paths.
- Support architecture intake, review, governance, decision records, documentation, and repeatable decision frameworks.
- Provide architecture clinics, workshops, training, runbooks, readiness criteria, coaching, and knowledge transfer to engineering and application teams.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Security, Networking, Operations, and Application teams to communicate trade-offs and align on standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of cloud or platform architecture or engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise landing-zone capabilities in at least two of GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience with critical multi-quarter programs involving networking, identity, or platform foundations in a cloud transformation context.
- Demonstrated delivery of infrastructure-as-code, pipelines, and reference implementations, along with coaching teams at scale.
- Deep landing-zone expertise including IAM models, hub-and-spoke networking, Transit Gateway, Virtual WAN, Cloud Router equivalents, DNS, private connectivity, cross-cloud interconnect, and policy frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native security and scalable security patterns.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code and at least one of Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes on EKS, AKS, and GKE, service mesh, and modern application architectures.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, trade-off articulation, and decision-making skills.
- Bilingual French and English communication skills and eligibility to work in Canada.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS, Azure, or GCP professional or architect certifications; regulated-industry experience; familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI; platform product management experience; and experience establishing architecture communities of practice.
